The Non-Selfie
The 'Non Selfie' is inspired by the use of social media amongst young people, with particular focus on the selfie. In this medium, filters are used to present an unrealistic representation of an individual.
For young people, reliance on technology can render the physical portrait obsolete. My project moves away from disposable imagery, stripping this back by using medium and large format film cameras.
The slower interaction results in a physical product that is hand printed.
